Im a criminal and so are you

In this article the Arthur talks about how everyone in America is a criminal. Michelle Alexander says that every on is a criminal but they just haven't been caught. She also said that if you have been in jail you will be treated different than other people. If you go to jail and get out you will not be able to go to college or get a job. She thinks that if every one is a criminal why should only the ones that was in jail be treated as less than a citizen. I think that they are treated like that because the people that got locked had a more severe crime than the person  that didn't. She also states that America is spending to much money on locking people up and not enough on education and health care. The article said that President Obama does not look at himself as a criminal even though he admitted to using illegal drugs during college years.Some consequences of getting sent to prison is being denied the right to vote and you will be discriminated against housing.  The article also says that if you go to  jail you will not get the same rights as a person that was not in jail. They can't get a good job because of their criminal record.
