2011-2012 NBA MVP Race

In the 2011-2012 NBA season there has been two main players that have been the talk around the league for the MVP trophy. Those people are Lebron James and Kevin Durant. For most of the season Lebron has been leading the league in the MVP running but Durant has always been on his heels. On March 25 the two squared off in what was called a finals preview. Kevin Durant had an outstanding game, he went for 29 points 9 rebounds 8 assists two steals and one block. Lebron on the other hand did not do so well he only had 17 points 7 assists 4 turnovers and 3 rebounds which is well under his season total. Another person that is slowly rising in the ranks of the MVP voting is Tony Parker. In his last 5 games Tony Parker had 20.4 points 8.8 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game. Kobe Bryant is also trying hard to win MVP. He currently sits at the number three spot and is working harder and harder to get to the number one spot. He just recently experienced a trade that might benefit their team now but it might hurt them in the long run. They traded point guard Derrick Fisher away to the Houston Rockets and they got Ramon Sessions from the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Sessions in the lineup Kobe has scored 25.5 points per game and has shot almost 40% from behind the arc. The player I think should win the MVP title is Kevin Durant because he has  been a monster throughout the entire season and he deserves to win the title. He should also win because he is the biggest all-around threat in the NBA this season and his stats prove that.
